About Us

Welcome to the wonderful world of Forkbeard Fantasy,  50 years of  humour, magic and invention.

From the early 1970s their pioneering multi-media performances, theatre shows, films and interactive exhibitions, combined with their good humour and spirit of anarchic disrespect,  made them the widely loved company they remain to this day.

Forkbeard no longer tour shows or exhibitions although the FF artists still make animations, one-off events and sculptures.

In 2023 Forkbeard closed shop and transferred everything to the University of Bristol Theatre Collection. Click here »

Annual Forkbeard Fantasy Award

Along with the Bristol Theatre Collection we’ve set up an Endowment Fund to support an annual £15,000 Forkbeard Fantasy Award for new work by collaborations of artists, makers and performers.

There’ve been two Awards so far   Click here >
