Bridgwater Carnival: Forkbeard worked with families and Somerset Film at the Engine Room, Bridgwater on a unique animated/live action projection performance. Workshops resulted in an outside screening (on to the walls of the Engine Room) prior to the Bridgwater carnival procession (Saturday 3rd November).
As a company we welcome the opportunity to create films for outdoors. If you think your project would benefit from Forkbeard's unique humour and expertise please email us or contact us by mail or phone.
Although projection has always been at the core of Forkbeard's work since the 80's it is only more recently the company have been involved in projections of larger scale and in areas of work different to their original theatrical background. From the recent commission of Exeter Cathedral involving complex mapping and multiple projectors to community based projects such as that at Bridgwater 'Engine Room', Forkbeard have learnt how projection can astound, involve and stimulate in equal measure.
Our 2012 “Evolumental” on Exeter Cathedral commissioned by "Animated Exeter" involved 8 separate films on 8 separate projectors all linking the individual animations into a vast moving picture across the cathedral, up its vast tower and inside its windows, with a further revolving projector carrying evolving creatures and birds all around the Cathedral Square and across all its shops and houses.
