QUEST PLAY TORBAY
Forkbeard have completed the first leg of the Quest Play Torbay Project.
Having spent much of the summer working and collaborating with young people
from the Torbay area along side other professional artists and performers, a
site specific event was constructed at Greenway, overlooking the River Dart.
This was Agatha Christie's summer residence with beautiful walled gardens,
grassy lawns and greenhouses.
Everything was devised, animated, operated and performed by the young people with Forkbeard contributing to the outdoor projected animations and film sequences, wheelbarrow-based gadgetry and telescopes.
Many of the young people will remain with the project as it moves on to
Cockington Court, helping to create a new specific community event there
with 2 days of presentation on Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd of November.
The final phase will be based at Torquay Museum with events happening 6th & 7th December.
